Building your own website.

Generally it isn't so hard to build your own webstie. Manny programmes for this are on the internet, but they aren't all good!
What are the things you need to build a website?

  • A computer + mouse (better you have it).

  • Internet connection.

  • Webhosting provider.

  • Domain name for your website.

  • Software to build your website.

  • A good photo editor + maybe some extra tools.

  • Some knowledge about "Javascript" - "Html script" - or equals, if you want to do some more advanced features.

1. A computer + mouse.

Well before you can start building your own website, or building them for other people, you need a computer & mouse. Use a computer who has at least the minimum systemrequirements, for your used website software. Be sure you use a "legal" version of it. The software that I use, needs to be running on a Microsoft Windows system.

2. Internet connection.

When you want to build websites, you don't need just a computer, but you need also an "internet connection". You need this connection for uploading your "website" & for the installation of your used "website software".

3. Webhosting provider.

When you want to build your website, you need first at all, a provider, where you can upload your website!

Examples of web providers are:

  • ....

4. Domain name for your website:

What is a domain name?

  • Domain Name System, or DNS, is the most recognized system for assigning addresses to Internet web servers (aka "Internet hosts"). Somewhat like international phone numbers, the domain name system helps to give every Internet server a memorable and easy-to-spell address. Simultaneously, the domain names keep the really technical IP address invisible for most viewers.

So, with other words, you need to create an unique domain name for your website, that still not excist! Once you find your domain name who is unique, you can claim it! After you did claim it, nobody else will be able to use the same name.
The domain name from this website =>
The domain name for google => or or...

5. Software to build your website.

To build a website, you can find lot of software on the internet. Some are free, others need tobe payed. The software I did use to create this website is: website X5 - evolution 10.

  • WebSite X5 is the most versatile and complete software for creating attractive, professional and functional websites, blogs and online stores. You don't need programming skills. It's easy to use, flexible and open to your customization. There are no fees: with 1 licence you can install it on 2 PCs and create all the sites you want, for you, your friends and your customers.

  • It's Easy, Complete And Professional.

  • You work with a fully-visual intuitive interface, with plenty of previews of your work that are constantly updated in real time.

More information about website X5 you can find here.

6. A good photo editor.

A good photo editor can be handy, to edit some jpg - png - bmp -...files. With this you can change some layout, or create new ones, ....
The ones you need to use, well is difficult to explain, because everybody has them already on there computer and manny of them excist! Take your favorites.

Some examples from photo editors:

  • Paint

  • Microsoft office picture manager

  • Adobe photoshop

  • pixlr (free advanced editor aviable on the internet, click here).

7. Some knowledge from different kinds of script or programming software.

Well it's always handy todo something more with your webpage, you know moving text, snow on your internet page, ....
This you can do with javascript or with html code or some other codes you prefere. On links below, you can find some info and useable code about those scripts:

More info can be found if you just search a little bit on GooGle.

It's also possible to ask somebody else to create your website for a fair price. Once it's completely builded, you can then update it by your self or let it doing by your webmaster!
